Take 3 Minutes To Help Save Natural Gas Drilling in NY

We need you and your family to do this immediately

URGENT!! Please take three minutes right now to go to the website link below and send an urgent letter to our NY lawmakers.

http://www.capwiz.com/iogany/home

Numerous bills are being considered in the next two weeks by the New York State Senate and Assembly that are aimed to kill development in the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions of the state before it even starts. Laced with false assumptions and incorrect data, these bills are mere obstructionist's tools that will keep the financial handcuffs firmly on upstate's residents.

WITH THE STATE'S HORRID FINANCIAL WOES AND WITH ALBANY'S INABILITY TO PASS A BUDGET, DEVELOPMENT IN THE MARCELLUS AND UTICA SHALES ARE "PLAN A" TO REBUILD NY FINANCIALLY –
AND THERE IS NO VIABLE "PLAN B."

Reject a Moratorium on Safe Natural Gas Drilling in NY!
Say No to S.7592 (Addabbo)/A.10490 (Englebright)

These bills listed above not only make false assumptions about the natural gas industry and its safety record, but also assume the process of hydraulic fracturing has been the cause of mishaps in other states.

We urge you to tell New York's lawmakers what we already know – hydraulic fracturing is not new and it is safe. It is a well-regulated, environmentally sound practice that has been employed more than 1.1 million times nationwide without a single incident of drinking water contamination. Please help by sending a message today using the link above. And then come back again tomorrow - and the day after that - to resend the message.

Also, the following three NY senators are key to blocking the anti-drilling legislation in the senate. These three have been willing to cross party lines on other common-sense environmental topics. Please email them directly with the same message of rejecting the bills by Addabbo and Engelbright S.7592 & A.10490 that blockade safe natural gas drilling in NY.
