Combined Coalition Meeting
With the Unatego Land Coalition

This Thursday night, June 21st, at 7PM we will hold a combined Coalition meeting with our neighboring Unatego Land Coalition.  It will be at the Unatego Jr/Sr High School in Otego, NY (2641 State Highway 7  Otego, NY 13825)

This meeting with have three main highlights:

  • Mike Zagata, former NYS DEC Commissioner, will give a presentation on the history and overview of the DEC in relation to gas drilling.
  • Rod Gould will give a presentation on the impact of the ad valorem tax on your community.
  • Susan Oliver will present the full-length "TruthLand" movie beginning 20 minutes before official meeting time (6:40pm).  Also, every person in attendance will leave with the full length "TruthLand" DVD!

At the end of our meeting there will be a time for questions and answers.  Know that you'll receive the latest on the DEC's timing of the SGEIS and how this may play out in our region's future.

We also would like to take a collection for Jennifer Huntington to help her expenses in her legal fight over Middlefield's ban on natural gas drilling.  Her legal victory will be a victory for us all.  Your donation monies will be a good investment, not just for her, but for your future as well.

ALSO, Save the Date for a one-of-a-kind energy rally on Sunday July, 15th.
This dynamic rally will feature live entertainment, free food and fantastic prizes.  It will be held at the Broome Tioga Sports Center in Richfield, NY.  This event is open to all coalitions and supporters of natural gas – you can't miss this main event!  RSVP today at – www.rally4energy.com or vote4energy@energycitizens.org

This journey for landowner rights has been a long, four-year, walk.  Your patience through this endeavor is greatly appreciated.  Keep the faith for the future of our region.

On Behalf of the Steering Committee,

Brian Conover
