Downloadable Book - good resource for the landowner

Several years ago, the Oil and Gas Accountability Project recognized the need to produce a comprehensive guidebook for landowners who are being confronted with oil and gas development.

In 2004, the first edition of Oil and Gas at Your Door? was published. Within 7 months they had distributed more than 1500 copies to landowners, citizens' groups, government employees, ranchers, hunters, anglers, industry representatives, academics, libraries, and media representatives from across the U.S., Canada, and several other countries.

The Central New York Landowner’s Coalition is hosting very important meetings at the Unadilla Valley Central School at 4238 State Highway 8 New Berlin, NY 13411 on Saturday, April 10th, 2010. All coalition members are strongly urged to attend, however, the meetings are open to all who have interest.

These meetings are extremely important since they cover three significant items:

Wells are open as long as they are productive, then capped, allowing for the landscape to return to its natural state.
